Falcons Climb To No. 6 In National Polls

The Orange and Brown moved up in both the USCHO and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine polls, announced Monday afternoon.

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University ice hockey team saw its point total increase to 705 in the latest USCHO voting, moving up one spot to No. 6 in the nation. The Falcons also moved up in the latest USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll to No. 6, announced Monday afternoon.
Bowling Green, who moved to a perfect 4-0-0 following a loss on the season with a 3-2 triumph over Michigan Tech last Saturday night, have increased their vote total for 13 straight weekends in the USCHO poll.
The Falcons (14-4-4, 10-2-2) entered the polls on November 10 and have yet to move down in the USCHO poll. The Orange and Brown's historic season continues, improving on their highest ranking ever since the polls began in 1997.
WCHA-foe Minnesota State claimed the top spot (1) in the poll for the second consecutive week, while Michigan Tech earned the No. 10 spot to join BGSU in the rankings as WCHA representatives.

The Falcons –third in the WCHA with 22 points, one behind Michigan Tech and nine behind Minnesota State – will host Lake Superior State (6-19-1, 5-13-0) at the BGSU Ice Arena Friday and Saturday nights at 7:07 p.m.
