The Bowling Green State University football team hosts Virginia Military Institute on Saturday, Sept. 6, at 3:30 p.m. in the 2014 home opener. The contest can only be viewed on ESPN3 or the Watch ESPN App with Dan Gutowsky (Play-by-Play) and Dustin Fox (Anaylyst) on the call. For those coming to the game, please review the game day information below.

11:30 a.m. – Ticket Booths at Doyt Perry Stadium open
12:30 p.m. – Falcon Football Tailgate Park opens
1:15 p.m. – Team Arrives & Falcon Team Walk
1:30 p.m. – PreFlight with the Falcon Marching Band (south end of Stadium)

Falcon Football Tailgate Park
The Falcon Football Tailgate Park will open up at 12:30 a.m. Inflatables will be located at the northeast end of the sidewalk.

Falcon Team Walk
The Falcon Team Walk will begin at 1:15 p.m. and will take place along the sidewalk on the southwest side of the stadium between the Stroh Center and Doyt Perry Stadium. This is where the BGSU Football Team walks through a tunnel of fans, cheerleaders, dance team, band members and all Falcons as they arrive at the stadium.

Students with a valid Student I.D. will be able to park for free in the grass lot next to the football practice field off of Stadium Drive behind the east side of Doyt Perry Stadium. Parking is limited.

Tickets
The BGSU Ticket Office at the Stroh Center will be CLOSED. Tickets will be on sale at all ticket windows at Doyt Perry Stadium beginning at 11:30 a.m. Will Call is located on the southeast side of the stadium at the southeast ticket booth. Player passes will be located at Gate 9, while the Media Gate is located at Gate 2. Ticket prices are $18 for chairback seating and $15 for bench seating. Â Fans can pay with cash, Mastercard, VISA, or Discover Card.

Promotions
Military Appreciation Day: It is Military Appreciation Day at Doyt Perry Stadium. Throughout the game, BGSU will recognize and honor both former and current members of all the United States Military Branches.
POW/MIA Chair Dedication: Bowling Green State University will designate a permanently unoccupied seat in Doyt Perry Stadium to honor the tens of thousands of military personnel who are or were prisoners of war (POW) or have been declared missing in action (MIA). BGSU will dedicate a Rolling Thunder collegiate POW/MIA Chair of Honor at 2 p.m. as part of the pre-game activities before the football game against the Virginia Military Institute. The ceremony will be held on the west side of the stadium. The seat will be located in Section 16.
Military Recognition: BGSU will also recognize the branches of the U.S. Military and a number of veterans both before the game and at halftime. The Air Force ROTC color guard will present the flag during the National Anthem. There will also be a pregame fly over by a WWII TBM Avenger following the National Anthem.
2013 MAC Champions Sign Unveiling: The official sign of the 2013 MAC Football Champions will be unveiled prior to the kickoff on Saturday afternoon. The sign will join the other Championship banners along the west side of the stadium.
Thunder Sticks: A total of 5,000 Thunder Sticks will be given to students in attendance at the game.
Band Day: It is also High School Band Day at Perry Stadium, as 12 local high school bands will come to participate on the field in a number of pregame festivities.
Brooke Pleger Gold Medal Recognition: During the first quarter on Saturday afternoon, BGSU track & field student-athlete Brooke Pleger will be recognized. Pleger threw the hammer 211-feet-11 (63.60 meters) to win a gold medal for Team USA at the North America, Central America and Caribbean (NACAC) U23 International Athletic Championships in early August.
2013-14 Women's Basketball MAC Regular Season Champions Recognition: During a break in the second quarter of the game on Saturday, the 2013-14 BGSU Women's Basketball MAC regular season champions will be honored. The 2013-14 Falcons went 30-5 overall, posting the second-highest win total in school and MAC history, and BGSU captured the MAC's regular-season title with a 17-1 conference mark.
Battlebine Recognition: During the third quarter, the BGSU athletics department will recognize the 2014 Combine Derby Champion in Kyle David. David won his third consecutive combine derby championship at the Wood County Fair, battling through the consolation round with the BGSU Battlebine for a dramatic victory. BGSU Athletics sponsored David's combine for the first time in 2014.
Merchandise
The Falcon Team Store Tent is located in the south end zone side of the stadium and is open to all Falcon Fans! The Falcon Team Store Tent will open at 2:00 p.m. This season there will also be a merchandise cart roaming through the parking and tailgate areas prior to the game. The Falcon Team Store will also be open in the Stroh Center on Saturday afternoon.

Game Day Programs
The official BGSU Game Day Programs will be available at the main entrances of the stadium. During the game, members of the local Boy Scout Troops will be selling game day programs. Programs will also be available in the Bookstore Tent in the south end zone. Programs are $5.

For the Kids
Falcon Kids Club tickets can be redeemed at any ticket booth with a valid membership card.
The Kid Zone will be located behind the scoreboard and the south end zone beyond the BGSU marketing tent.

Stadium Information
* Students can enter the stadium through Gate 6 ONLY. Student seating is in sections 17, 19 and 21. Overflow student seating (if necessary) will be in sections 7, 9 and 11.
* Even sections are located on the east side of the stadium (8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, and 20).
* Odd sections are located on the west side of the stadium (7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, and 21).
* First aid is located on the east concourse level between sections 14 and 16.
* The BGSU marketing tent is located near the south end zone, adjacent to the entrance of the Falcon Club Tent.
* Customer service and stadium information will be located at the BGSU marketing tent located in the south end zone. This is also the lost & found area, as well as the lost kids drop area as well.
* Police officers will be located throughout the stadium.
* Bowling Green State University is a smoke free campus. Smoking is not allowed inside the stadium. Please help us by smoking in the designated smoking areas outside of Gate 2.
* Green Game Day is a joint program between Campus Sustainability and BG Athletics to reduce waste in and around Doyt Perry Stadium. You can help us tackle waste by using a "green" bag in the tailgate area and filling it full of cans and bottles. Simply tie it up and leave it at your tailgate area for pickup. In the stadium, please recycle your cans and bottles in the containers provided.Â
