Bowling Green, Ohio – Bowling Green State University volleyball coach Danijela Tomic has announced that Jordan Cravens has been named the new Director of Volleyball Operations. Cravens is a Fostoria native with a wealth of athletics background.
"I am thrilled to be a part of the Falcon family and am grateful to Coach Tomic for this opportunity,” Cravens said. “Bowling Green and BGSU have always felt like home to me and I am very grateful to be able to continue being a part of this community and to join the Falcon volleyball program under a great coaching staff."
Cravens most recently served as an assistant volleyball coach at Liberty-Benton High School from 2010-12, where her team won the Blanchard Valley Conference title and earned a sectional championship. She also served as an assistant softball coach at Liberty-Benton and held the same position at Findlay High School from 2009-10.
Cravens has experience as a staff writer at the Sentinel-Tribune in Bowling Green, where she covered BGSU volleyball during the team's trip to Penn State for the NCAA Tournament. She has also been a reporter at the Findlay Courier and the Lorain Morning Journal. Cravens served as the Maxwell Sports Media Watch editor-in-chief for the Richard A. Maxwell Project For Sport Media and was a student employee for the BGSU Athletics grounds crew. She did internships with the Lima Locos Baseball Club and the Fostoria Review Times.
“We are very excited and feel fortunate to have someone like Jordan on our staff,” Tomic said. “Her skill set, work ethic and familiarity with BGSU makes her a great addition to our program.”
Cravens earned her bachelor's degree in journalism from BGSU in May of 2009 and is scheduled to receive her master's degree in sport administration from Bowling Green in May of this year.
