BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- Senior Andrew Hammond started all 44 games between the pipes for the Falcons last season, setting the single-season record for minutes played with 2,615:18. He finished with a 2.73 goals-against average, accounting for the seventh-best single-season mark in program history and stopped 1,114 shots, accounting for the second-highest single-season total in program history. Hammond carried a record of 14-24-5 with a .903 save percentage and two shutouts. He was also the recipient of the Jim Sears Award (MVP) and Jim Ruehl Award (Best Defensive Player) for two straight years.
This season, Hammond carries a 2.84 goals against average with a .913 save percentage and two shutouts. He is now second on Bowling Green's career shutout list, trailing only Tyler Masters who recorded seven from 1999-03.
