Falcons Prepare For Promotions-Filled Weekend

Bowling Green, Ohio - The coming weekend will be one of the busiest of the year as hockey, men's basketball, women's basketball, tennis and gymnastics all host home events. BGSU Athletics has announced a full schedule of promotions for the weekend. Below is a breakdown of the promotions.
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 1
Ice Hockey vs. Lake Superior State, 7:05 p.m. – ORANGE OUT
All fans in attendance will receive a Sam B's Mystery Card good for at least $5 off at Sam B's, home of the best food in Wood County, and up to $100 off your bill on your next visit.
Friday is also Student Appreciation Day at the BGSU Ice Arena. The first 200 students through the gates will receive a free orange t-shirt. All students will also receive a free entry into a drawing for three prizes which will be given away throughout the night. Those items are a pair of Beats By Dre headphones, a 42” HD television, and an iPad.
Saturday, February 2
With a trifecta of events on Saturday, students that attend all three events will receive a free t-shirt and be entered into a drawing for a 42” HD television. Punch cards can be picked up at the men's basketball game near the student entrance and must be punched at each event by a member of the marketing team. A fully punched card can be dropped off at the marketing table at the hockey game for a chance to win.
The BGSU Alumni Association is offering a special Alumni Weekend Package. For only $20 you receive a ticket to the men's basketball game and the hockey game, as well as dinner in-between. Tickets can be purchased through 5 p.m. on Friday, February 1 at bgsu.edu/alumni or by calling 888-839-ALUMNI.
Men's Basketball vs. Ball State 2:00 p.m.
Saturday's halftime will be full of excitement as we recognize one of the Falcon greats, Anthony Stacey. Stacey is a member of the BGSU Athletics Hall of Fame and the Cast of Honor. The beheading of one set of Freddie and Frieda will also occur at halftime of the game. All year long these birds have entertained you; now see the people in the costumes.
Gymnastics vs. Kent State 4:00 p.m. – PINK OUT
MAC preseason favorites visit Anderson Arena for this year's Pink Meet. Every fan in attendance will receive a free pink rally towel courtesy of Kroger.
All students in attendance will also receive an entry into a drawing for a free iPad and be able to take advantage of free pizza and drinks.
Hockey vs. Lake Superior State 7:05 p.m.
The second pair of Freddie and Frieda will be beheaded this year at the hockey game Saturday night. During the second intermission we will reveal the students who have worked hard all year to entertain you at Falcon home events.
All fans can also enter a drawing for a free pair of tickets to this years NCAA Hockey Regionals hosted by BGSU at the Huntington Center in Toledo.
Sunday, February 3
Women's Basketball vs. Central Michigan, 1:00 p.m. – PINK OUT
BGSU women's basketball will welcome MAC-leading Central Michigan to the Stroh Center for this year's Pink Game. Every fan in attendance will receive a free pink rally towel courtesy of Kroger.
Tickets to all events are still available (Gymnastics is free admission) by calling the BGSU Ticket Office at 877-BGSU-TICKET. Those fans interested in the Alumni Association Package should call the Alumni Association Office at 888-839-ALUMNI.
