Nick Eno has signed a contract to play with the Toledo Walleye (ECHL).
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- Nick Eno has now joined the ranks of those Falcon hockey players that have signed on to play professional hockey. Earlier today, the Toledo Walleye hockey team and Eno agreed to terms on a deal for the goaltender to play for the ECHL team.
He joins the team days after goaltender Thomas McCollum was loaned to the Detroit Red Wings of the NHL.
Eno become the fourth Falcon in less than a year to sign on with the ECHL's Toledo Walleye, joining former Falcons Josh Boyd and Jimmy Spratt as well as 2010-11 captain David Solway. Last season, Kyle Page also signed a deal with the Walleye and remains as a defensive mainstay with the team.
The Walleye have three games left in their regular season. They play the Wheeling Nailers tonight before playing their home finale against the Elmira Jackals on Friday, April 1 at the Huntington Center (Toledo, Ohio). Toledo finishes their regular season on Saturday in a final road trip to Wheeling. Eno is expected to be with the team all three games, at least.
RELATED NEWS: David Solway was placed on injured reserve by the Walleye on March 26. He played in three games and recorded one assist with Toledo.
