BGSU Gymnastics Adds Two

Bowling Green State University women's gymnastics head coach Kerrie Beach has announced the
signing of two student-athletes to National Letters of Intent. Katrina Carpenter and Alyssa Nocella will join BGSU for the 2012-13 season.
“I am so pleased to have Alyssa and Katrina joining our program next fall,” said Beach. “Both gymnasts have the potential to be all-around contenders. In addition, Alyssa and Katrina are strong academically and they possess the dedication and determination to help BGSU gymnastics continue to build momentum.”
Carpenter, a native of Frederick, Mary., is currently a senior at Tuscarora High School. She qualified for the USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic Championships this past May, and is the daughter of Erlinda and Bruce Carpenter.
Nocell a, like Carpenter, qualified for the USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic Championships this past year, where she finished 28th in the all-around and fourth on vault. She is currently a senior at Boyertown Area Senior High in Gilbertsville, Penn., and was a state champion in the all-around in 2010. She is the daughter of Sandy and Jeff Nocella.
