Prochaska, a native of Plain City, Ohio (Jonathan Alder H.S.), averaged 23.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game as the Falcons went 2-0 last week. She scored 30 points in BGSU's 72-61 win at Buffalo on Tuesday (Jan. 18), marking her second 30-point game of the season and the fifth of her career.
Prochaska had 17 of her 30 points in the first half of the win at UB, including 10 points in the final seven-plus minutes, as BG went on a 21-4 run to end the half, taking the lead for good.
Then, on Saturday (Jan. 22), Prochaska scored 16 points in the Falcons' 90-62 win over Central Michigan at Anderson Arena. Eleven of those points came in the opening half as BGSU built a 21-point lead at the intermission.
In the two games, Prochaska shot over 45 percent from three-point land, going 5-of-11 from behind the arc, and she was perfect from the line, making all 19 of her tosses.
On the year, Prochaska is averaging 20.1 points and 5.9 rebounds per game, leading the team in both categories. The two-time MAC Player of the Year has made a team-leading 50 three-point field goals this season.
Prochaska currently is second in the nation in free-throw percentage, having gone 118-of-125 from the stripe (94.4%). She is 16th in the country in scoring and 20th in three-point FG pct. (43.1%).
With 2,081 career points to date, Prochaska is just 41 points shy of matching Jackie Motycka's BGSU career record. Motycka had 2,122 points in her storied Falcon tenure. Prochaska currently ranks seventh in scoring in MAC history, just 10 points shy of sixth place.
Prochaska earned this week's MAC Player-of-the-Week honor for the East Division. Marke Freeman of Northern Illinois was named the MAC P-O-W in the West.
The Falcons of head coach Curt Miller, 17-2 overall and 5-1 in the MAC, are home on Wednesday night (Jan. 26), facing arch-rival Toledo in what will very likely be the last-ever 'Battle of I-75' in Anderson Arena. Tipoff is 7:00 p.m., and tickets are available by clicking here.
