McLeod, Falcons down Michigan as the House Roars
Throughout the 2010-11 season, the BGSU Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will be celebrating the storied history of venerable Anderson Arena, as we are 'Closing the Doors of The House That Roars' and preparing for the opening of the Stroh Center in the fall of 2011.

On November 28, 2001, the men's basketball Falcons hosted Michigan. The Wolverines led by as many as 10 points in the first half, and took a four-point lead into the locker room. The lead traded hands several times in the second half, with Erik Crawford's three-pointer giving the Falcons a six-point lead, 50-44, with under eight minutes remaining.

U-M responded with a 10-0 run, however, and LaVell Blanchard's jumper at the 3:15 mark gave the visitors a 58-53 advantage. But, the Falcons would outscore the Maize and Blue by a 12-1 count to end the game. Len Matela's layup with 1:40 left gave the hosts the lead for good, 60-58, and Keith McLeod's three-pointer with 29 seconds remaining gave the Falcons a five-point advantage and nearly blew the roof off of Anderson Arena. Here are some of your memories of that game ...

Sometime between 1998 and 2002, we played Michigan at home for men's basketball, and we won. It was the hottest, loudest, craziest sports environment I've ever seen or experienced first hand. I think I waited for tickets in Olscamp for like two and a half hours before tip off.

November 28, 2001 - Keith McLeod 16 points and 9 assists, and Brandon Pardon taking it to Michigan for a 65-59 win. Anderson Arena was packed and going crazy!!!!!

As long as I live, I'll never forget when Keith McLeod nailed a 3 pointer in the final minute of the game to put BG up over Michigan in front of a packed house. I was lucky enough to be first row courtside, and that was by far the loudest I've ever heard “the house that roars”. Thanks for all the memories! GO FALCONS!!!
MIKE
The win over Michigan in 2001-02 was one of the best environments I've ever been in. We took the lead with a few minutes left, and then it seemed like forever before someone scored again. Thankfully, it was Keith McLeod who hit a big 3-pointer. His shot came from right in front of Coach Dakich and the BG bench, and it hit the rim, bounced waaaaaaay up in the air and dropped through. It felt like that ball was in the air for five minutes, but when it went in, we KNEW that we were gonna win. Keith hit a lot of big shots in his career, and that was one of the biggest.
