* With today's 72-62 victory, Michigan State will advance to play the winner of the Kentucky/Liberty game on Monday night. It marks the second straight season Michigan State has made it past the first round.

Michigan State returns to the NCAA Tournament for the second straight year after advancing to the Regional Semifinal last season as a nine seed, before falling to four seed Iowa State by one point.
