Following the Falcons' thrilling shootout win over the No. 12/13 Michigan State Spartans on Saturday night in front of 3,027 screaming fans at the BGSU Ice Arena, Bowling Green learned where the CCHA playoff will take them. For the fourth time in six years, the Falcons will travel to Omaha, Neb. to play the Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks in the first round of the CCHA playoffs.
Despite the momentum that was created after the shootout victory, interim head coach Dennis Williams has already started preparing for their playoff series this weekend against UNO. In his weekly press conference with the local media, Williams talked about the weekend against MSU and what is to come with the Mavericks, with special emphasis on the recent play of David Solway and Tomas Petruska.
