The Bowling Green State University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has announced the All-Anderson women's basketball team, in conjunction with a year-long celebration of the final year of Anderson Arena.

The 13-person All-Anderson women's basketball team was selected via nominations through the official website of BGSU Athletics, BGSUFalcons.com. A review panel then made the final selections. The team will be honored at BGSU's home women's basketball game vs. Ball State on Feb. 5, 2011, as part of the year-long "Closing the Doors of The House That Roars" celebration.

• five MAC Freshman-of-the-Year honorees,

• nine inductees to the BGSU Athletics Hall of Fame.
As a matter of fact, the four All-Anderson Team members who are not in the Hall of Fame completed their careers too recently to be eligible as of yet. One of those four players is a member of the current team.
BGSU announced a gift of $8 million from Kermit F. and Mary Lu Stroh on March 1, 2008, with $7.7 million earmarked for the Stroh Center, a new convocation center on campus. Bowling Green broke ground on the new arena on Sept. 3, 2009, and the facility will open in time for the 2011-12 athletic season. The volleyball, men's and women's basketball and gymnastics programs all will call the Stroh Center home, beginning in the fall of 2011.

Helped the Falcons to four Mid-American Conference regular-season titles, three MAC Tournament crowns and four national postseason appearances ... was one-half of a 2008 senior class that went 108-23 in their careers, setting BGSU and MAC records for a four-year span (since broken) ... helped the Brown and Orange to a MAC regular-season mark of 57-7 in her four years ... ranks fifth in BGSU history in scoring, with 1,580 career points, and is the Falcons' all-time leader in assists, with 688 ... is the only player in school history with over 1,000 points and 600 assists ... as a junior, helped the Falcons to the 'Sweet Sixteen' in the NCAA Championships ... that 2006-07 team won 31 games, and the win total and tourney runs are still the highest and deepest, respectively, in MAC women's basketball history ... was the MAC Player of the Year as a senior ... named to the All-MAC First Team that winter, after earning second-team honors in each of the previous two seasons ... was named to the MAC All-Tournament Team three times in her four years, including in 2005, when she earned MAC Tournament MVP honors ... was a State Farm/WBCA All-America honorable-mention choice in her senior season ... holds the school records for free throws made (551) and attempted (718) in a career.
Lori Albers (1989-94)
Was inducted into the BGSU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2004 ... earned MAC Freshman-of-the-Year honors as BGSU won the MAC Tournament and advanced to the NCAAs in 1990 ... also named to the MAC's All-Freshman Team that year, ranking ninth in the league in steals and 10th in rebounding ... missed the 1990-91 season after undergoing reconstructive knee surgery in August ... came back to earn All-MAC Honorable Mention in 1991-92 ... the following season, earned All-MAC First-Team honors and was named the MAC Tournament's MVP as BGSU won the league regular-season and tournament titles ... had 34 points and 15 rebounds in the MAC tourney title-game win over Kent ... had 23 points in the Falcons' NCAA game vs. Florida that year, before fracturing her wrist with eight minutes left in the game ... earned all-league second-team honors as a senior in 1993-94, and was named to the MAC's All-Tournament squad for the second-straight year ... BGSU again won MAC regular-season and tourney titles ... missed seven games early in the season due to injury, and her return to the lineup coincided with the Falcons' 20-game winning streak which took the team all the way to the NCAA Tournament ... in the four years she was healthy, BGSU was a combined 97-23 overall and 60-8 in the MAC ... finished her career with totals of 1,424 points, 776 rebounds, 249 assists and a school-record 241 steals ... still ranks 10th in BG history in scoring, eighth in rebounding and second in steals.
Paulette Backstrom (1985-89)
An integral member of head coach Fran Voll's teams in the last 1980s ... the Falcons captured three consecutive MAC regular-season and tournament titles in her last three years ... helped BGSU compile a 96-23 mark over those three years, including a 53-7 record in league play ... the point guard on those teams, she was the recipient of the Frances Pomeroy Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Award – presented each season to the top player in the country under 5-foot-6 – in 1989 ... averaged 8.9 points and a MAC-leading 7.2 assists per game as the Falcons won a third-straight league regular-season title and a third consecutive MAC Tournament crown ... she earned All-MAC First-Team honors that year, and was the conference tournament's MVP ... scored over 800 career points and dished out 559 assists ... still ranks fourth on the BGSU career assists list ... was inducted into the BGSU Athletics Hall of Fame in 1995.
Angie Bonner (1987-90)
Another BGSU Athletics Hall of Fame member, having been inducted in 2000 ... a four-year letterwinner, she earned a spot on the MAC's All-Freshman Team in 1987 ... was a second-team all-league selection and an honorable-mention academic pick as a sophomore after leading the MAC in field-goal percentage (.570) and finishing in the top-10 in the league in rebounding ... in her junior year, earned All-MAC Second-Team honors for the second-straight season, averaging 13.0 points and a team-leading 8.1 boards per game ... she also earned Academic All-MAC First-Team honors that year ... in her senior year, led the Falcons with 15.4 ppg and 8.0 rebounds, and was a unanimous all-league first-team selection ... she was a repeat selection to the academic all-conference team, and was the MAC Tournament MVP as BGSU won a fourth consecutive league tourney title ... helped the Falcons to a 100-22 overall record, a 58-6 MAC mark, three MAC regular-season titles, four MAC Tournament crowns and four trips to the NCAA Championships ... ended her career as BGSU's all-time leader in free-throw attempts and blocked shots ... today, she ranks 12th in career scoring (1,412), sixth in rebounds (842), second in blocks (155), third in field-goal pct. (.557), 10th in games started (97), fourth in FT attempts (555) and sixth in FT made (354) ... she earned an NCAA postgraduate scholarship in 1990.
Stephanie Coe (1983-87)
A true BGSU success story ... originally cut from the team as a freshman walk-on, she finished her BGSU tenure ranked second in school history in scoring, and ninth in MAC annals, with 1,363 points ... that total now ranks 13th in school history, and her average of 13.4 points per game still ranks her seventh on the BGSU career list ... averaged 3.6 points as a reserve in her first year, but led the team in scoring as a sophomore with 14.7 ppg, en route to earning All-MAC honorable mention ... in the classroom, earned selection to the Academic All-MAC First Team, the first of three consecutive years in which she would earn that honor ... again earned honorable-mention all-league honors as a junior, averaging 13.4 points as the Falcons finished second in the league ... as a senior in 1986-87, upped her scoring average to 18.8 points, earning All-MAC First-Team honors in the process ... led the Falcons to a 27-3 record and a perfect 16-0 MAC slate that winter ... she was the MVP of the MAC Tournament, scoring 31 and 24 points, respectively, in the Falcons' two wins ... the last two of those points came on a foul-line jumper with just five seconds remaining, providing the winning points in a 63-62 triumph over Central Michigan and giving the Falcons their first-ever trip to the NCAA Tournament ... that year, in addition to her academic all-conference honors, she became the first BGSU women's basketball student-athlete to earn Academic All-America First-Team honors ... was inducted into the BGSU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2001.
Liz Honegger (2003-07)
Helped the Falcons to a record of 103-25 in her four years, advancing to the championship game of the MAC Tournament in all four seasons ... twice named an All-MAC Second-Team selection, and earned all-league honorable mention in an additional season ... named to the MAC All-Tournament team in both 2005 and '06, as the Falcons won the title each year ... made a school-record 127 starts, starting every game but the first one in her four-year career ... not surprisingly, also holds the school record for consecutive starts ... ended her BGSU career as the only player to hold school records for both three-point field goals made and blocked shots at an NCAA Division-I institution ... made 216 triples in 604 attempts (also a school record) ... finished her BGSU career ranked fifth in scoring (1,522 career points) and fourth in rebounding (903) ... obliterated the school record for blocked shots, ending her career with 188 ... the only player in MAC history to block at least 125 shots and make at least 125 three-point field goals in her career ... also the only player in school history with more than 40 rejections and 40 triples in the same season, and she achieved that milestone twice ... had 50 blocks and 59 treys as a sophomore, and 52 blocks and 57 triples in her junior year ... still the BGSU career record-holder for blocked shots, as well as games started ... currently ranks seventh in scoring, fourth in rebounds, seventh in steals and second in three-pointers made ... as a freshman, joined the BGSU track and field squad after the conclusion of the basketball season ... just over a month later, won the MAC title in the discus and qualified for the NCAA Regionals in that event.
Ali Mann (2003-07)
Part of the same stellar senior class as Liz Honegger ... helped the Falcons to a record of 103-25 in her four years, advancing to the championship game of the MAC Tournament in all four seasons ... cemented her place among the BGSU women's basketball all-time greats, finishing her career ranked second in school history in career scoring and third in rebounding ... remains in those positions to this day ... had 1,825 career points and 911 rebounds as a Falcon ... earned all-conference honors in each of her four years ... became just the sixth player in league history to be named MAC Player of the Year, MAC Freshman of the Year and MAC Tournament MVP during her career ... scored in double digits in 103 of her 128 career contests ... ended her career as the BGSU record-holder in free throws made (482) and attempted (677) ... now is second in both categories ... also remains on the BG career lists for games started (second, 126), three-point FG pct. (fourth, 39.9%) and field goals made (second, 619) and attempted (fourth, 1,269) ... as a senior, shared the MAC Player-of-the-Year award as the Falcons went 31-4 and advanced all the way to the 'Sweet Sixteen' of the NCAA Championships ... earned All-MAC First-Team honors for the second-straight season, and was named to the Academic All-MAC Team for a third consecutive year ... had been an all-league second-team selection as a sophomore and an honorable-mention choice as a freshman ... was named to the MAC's All-Tournament Team three times, earning league tourney MVP honors in 2006 ... was a two-time ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District selection, being named to the third team as both a junior and a senior ... in 2007, earned Kodak/WBCA All-America honorable mention after being named to the all-region team, and also was a Lowe's Senior Class Award nominee ... that March, hit two of the biggest shots in school history, with a last-minute jumper in the lane vs. Oklahoma State and a late three-pointer against Vanderbilt ... both shots helped the Falcons nail down NCAA Tournament wins.
Megan McGuire (1985-89)
A BGSU Athletics Hall of Fame inductee, joining the hall in 2006 ... arguably one of the most versatile players in school history ... also was a part of some of the most successful teams in BGSU women's basketball annals ... was one-third of a senior class that also included Hall-of-Famers Paulette Backstrom and Jackie Motycka ... that group guided the Falcons to an overall record of 96-23 (.807) and a 53-7 MAC mark (.883) during their four years ... won both the MAC regular-season and tournament titles in each of their last three seasons, capping off their careers by becoming the first MAC team to advance to the second round of the NCAA Championships with a win over Cincinnati in the opening round ... earned all-conference first-team honors in her senior year, placing fifth in the balloting for MAC Player of the Year ... also earned MAC All-Tournament accolades that season after averaging 16 points, six assists and four steals per game in the Falcons' run to the title ... she became just the fifth player in BGSU history to score 1,000 career points, and ended her tenure with 1,062 points ... still ranks 21st in school history in that category ... currently fourth in Falcon history with 98 career blocked shots, and is ninth in BG annals in steals (193) ... following the completion of her hoops career, she joined head coach Denise Van De Walle's volleyball squad for the 1989 season, and helped that team to 20 wins and the program's first-ever MAC regular-season title.
Jackie Motycka (1985-89)
The most prolific scorer in the history of basketball (men and women) at Bowling Green ... her 2,122 points remains the highest figure ever at BGSU and ranked second in MAC women's basketball history ... still sits in fifth place on the MAC list ... left BGSU holding 21 school season and career records ... one of only two players in league history to earn All-MAC First-Team honors four times ... was the MAC Player of the Year twice (1986-87 and 1987-88), leading the league with a 20.2 points-per-game average in '87-88 ... led the Falcons to three consecutive MAC regular-season titles and three-straight league tournament crowns to conclude her career ... helped BG become the first MAC women's team to win a NCAA Tournament game, with a 69-59 triumph over Cincinnati in 1989 ... started 115 games during her career, playing in 117 of a possible 119 contests ... scored in double figures 107 times, and scored 20 or more points on 43 occasions ... BGSU compiled a 96-23 record during her career, including a 78-13 mark her final three seasons (46-2 in MAC play over those three years ... averaged 18.1 points, 6.8 rebounds and shot .517 from the floor and .808 from the foul line during her career ... in addition to holding the school record for career points, also remains first in BGSU history in scoring average (18.1 ppg) and field goals made (846) and attempted (1,637) ... is now fourth in games started, and is seventh in career rebounds (797), eighth in field-goal pct., fifth in free-throw attempts (532), third in free throws made (430) and 10th in FT pct. Lauren Prochaska (2007-SA)
With one year remaining in Anderson Arena, already has left her mark on the program and the record book ... enters her senior season ranked third in BGSU history in scoring, with 1,699 career points ... holds the school career record for three-point field goals made, with 241 ... has been named the MAC Player of the Year in each of the last two seasons, and recently was named to the 2010-11 John R. Wooden Award Preseason Top 30 list by the Los Angeles Athletic Club ... the MVP of the 2010 MAC Tournament after helping the Falcons to the conference tourney title ... BGSU has won MAC regular-season titles in each of her first three seasons ... was an All-MAC Second-Team selection, and also was named the MAC Freshman of the Year, in 2007-08 ... earned all-league first-team honors in each of the last two years ... a State Farm Coaches' All-America Team honorable-mention selection in 2010, after earning all-region honors for the second-straight year ... scored a school-record 609 points last winter, averaging 17.9 points and 5.9 rebounds per game to lead the team in both categories ... led BG with a school-record 92 three-point field goals made, the second-highest total in MAC history ... reached 1,000 career points as a sophomore, only the second-ever BGSU women's basketball player to do so ... led the entire nation in free-throw percentage (.933) that year, and was fifth in the country last season ... averaged 19.6 ppg in MAC games, leading the entire league, two years ago ... had streaks of 45 and 33 consecutive free throws made during the 2008-09 season, the top-two such streaks in school history ... shattered the school single-game record with 43 points in a win over Central Michigan in February of 2009 ... has helped BGSU to an overall record of 82-20 and a MAC mark of 42-6 in her first three years ... BG made trips to national postseason play in all three seasons ... enters her senior year as the BGSU career leader in free-throw percentage, having shot .904 from the stripe ... currently ranks second in BGSU history in scoring average (16.7 ppg) and three-point FG attempted (578), third in three-point percentage (.417), fifth in free throws made (422), sixth in free-throw attempts (467), eighth in games started (has started all 102 games in her career to date) and blocked shots (61).
Sara Puthoff (1994-98)
The most recent women's basketball inductee into the BGSU Athletics Hall of Fame, having entered the hall in the fall of 2009 ... was a stellar scorer for Jaci Clark's Falcon teams ... scored 1,678 points in the Brown and Orange, the second-most in school history at the time of her graduation ... that total currently ranks fourth in BGSU annals, and she is third in school history in scoring average (15.1 ppg) ... earned some sort of major MAC award in each of her four years at BGSU ... the MAC Freshman of the Year in 1994-95, she was a second-team all-league selection in her sophomore year ... earned All-MAC First-Team honors in both her junior and senior seasons ... averaged 12.7 points as a freshman, finishing 11th in the nation in three-point field-goal percentage (.427) ... shattered the existing three-point records at the time ... led the Falcons and was second in the MAC with 15.5 ppg as a sophomore ... set the school record for three-point attempts in a season, and also earned the AT&T Long Distance Award for the month of January, holding the best 3-point pct. of any Division I player in the country during that month ... earned Academic All-MAC First-Team and GTE/CoSIDA Academic All-District Second-Team honors that year ... in 1996-97, she averaged 16.1 ppg, and led the entire nation in free-throw accuracy (.897) ... had back-to-back 30-point games, including a contest at Toledo in which she scored 28 points in the second half alone ... averaged 16.3 points en route to a second-straight All-MAC First-Team selection as a senior in 1997-98 ... was named to the All-District 4 First Team as well as the GTE/CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team that year ... helped BG to 21 wins and a berth in the WNIT ... scored in double digits in 86 of her 111 career games ... finished her career as the school's leader in FT pct. Talita Scott (1990-94)
A two-time All-MAC First-Team selection, and an Academic All-American ... was inducted into the BGSU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2007 ... on the court, helped the Falcons to an overall record of 89-29 during her four seasons, including a 51-9 mark over her last two years ... BGSU won the MAC's regular-season and tournament titles in each of those two seasons ... scored a total of 1,432 points to finish her career ranked second in school history ... still ranks eighth in BG history in that category ... also set the BGSU career record for field-goal percentage, with a .563 success rate, and she remains second on that list today ... finished her career ranked sixth of highest in no fewer than six other categories ... in April of 1994, became only the 11th BGSU student-athlete, and just the fourth women's basketball player, to be awarded an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship ... was a GTE/CoSIDA Academic All-America First-Team selection as a senior after earning third-team honors as a junior ... played in all 29 games off the bench as a freshman, averaging 4.4 points and 2.7 rebounds per game ... was the top player off the bench in her sophomore year, scoring 12.2 points and pulling down nearly five boards per contest ... she earned Academic All-MAC honorable mention that year, before garnering first-team honors in each of her last two years ... as a junior, set a school record for field-goal pct. (.633), and averaged 15.5 ppg and 6.6 rpg ... was fifth in the league in scoring ... ranked fourth in the MAC in scoring (16.9 ppg) as a senior, finishing second in the entire conference in three categories – field-goal pct. (.550), free-throw pct. (.836) and steals (92 in 30 games) ... started all 60 games over her last three seasons ... hit a key three-pointer late in the game to ensure BG's win over Toledo in the championship game of the 1994 MAC Tournament ... the Falcons were 17-1 in the MAC in each of her last two seasons, and went 48-4 in the league in her final three winters.
Chris Tuttle (1979-83)
The second-ever woman to be inducted into BGSU Athletics Hall of Fame, entering the hall in 1989 ... a four-year starter, she finished her Falcon career as BGSU's all-time scoring and rebounding leader with 1,420 points and 862 rebounds ... she left the school with no fewer than 18 school records, and was the first BGSU woman to score 1,000 career points ... was an honorable-mention Academic All-American, an academic all-conference and all-district selection, and was one of two MAC Scholar-Athletes from BGSU in 1983 ... had 9.7 points per game as a freshman, before leading the team in both scoring and rebounding in her sophomore season ... had 15.6 ppg and 9.0 rpg that year ... scored 13.8 points in her junior year ... averaged 13.6 points and 8.5 rebounds as a senior, shooting .514 from the field and a then-school record .750 from the free-throw line ... was named to the All-MAC Second Team in each of her last two seasons ... was a District 4 All-Academic selection ... still ranks 11th in career scoring, eighth in scoring average (13.3 ppg), fifth in rebounds, third in rebounding average (9.1 rpg), 11th in field-goals attempted (1,115), fifth in FG made (565), ninth in FG percentage (.506), seventh in free-throw attempts (428) and 11th in FT made (290) ... was the women's basketball program's first-ever NCAA Postgraduate Scholar, earning that scholarship in 1983.
