October 29, 2009 | Women's Basketball
Conference office releases 52-game men's and women's basketball package
Three weeks later, BGSU will close the home portion of the regular-season schedule with a noon tipoff against the Golden Flashes on 'Senior Day.' That also is part of a twinbill, as the Falcon men of head coach Louis Orr will host the Zips of UA in a game scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. at Anderson Arena.
The release from the MAC office follows, with the complete schedule listed at the bottom of the page
-------------
The men's basketball television schedule will begin on Friday, November 13 as Northern Illinois takes on Northwestern on the Big Ten Network and culminates with quarterfinal (FOX Sports Ohio), semifinal (FOX Sports Ohio) and Championship game (ESPN2, 6 p.m.) coverage of the FirstEnergy MAC Men's Basketball Tournament on March 11-13.
Michael Reghi will be joined by MAC Hall of Famer and former Toledo and Philadelphia 76ers standout Steve Mix as talent for the MAC men's basketball regional package, while the talent for the women's package will be announced at a later date.
This season the MAC will have more of a presence than ever on the ESPN Family of Networks as nine men's basketball games will air on ESPNU, three games will be shown on ESPN2 and one game can be seen on ESPN360.com. Western Michigan will pick up three television appearances on ESPNU when they compete in the 2009 Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic, to be held Dec. 22, 23 and 25. Additionally, the field for the 2010 ESPNU BracketBusters event on Saturday, February 20 and Sunday, February 21 will include all 12 MAC schools. BracketBuster pairings will be made in early February and will be televised on the ESPN Family of Networks.
The women's basketball television schedule begins Wednesday, January 9 as Central Michigan travels to Toledo for a Noon tip and contains five regular-season telecasts in addition to MAC Women's Basketball Tournament semifinal and championship game (March 13, 1 p.m.) telecast on FOX Sports Ohio.
