John Knox

John Knox became the first BGSU baseball letterman to graduate and move in to the Major League Baseball circles. Born in Pittsburgh, Knox came to BG in 1966, where he played for Coach Dick Young. Following a season with the freshman team, he moved into the regular lineup at second base as a sophomore, and never missed a game in his career as a Falcon. As a junior, Knox hit .325, gaining All-MAC honors.
Knox was drafted in the eighth round by the Detroit Tigers, and was called up in August of 1973.
