Don Nehlen

Don Nehlen helped Bowling Green compile a 21-2-4 record as Falcons' quarterback, including a MAC title in 1956 and second place finishes in 1955 and 1957. He was a two-time, All-MAC second-team selection.
Nehlen returned to BGSU as the defensive coordinator in 1965, and became the head coach in 1968 and posted a 53-35-4 record during his nine-year tenure.
Nehlen was named the 1993 National Coach of the Year in leading the West Virginia Mountaineers to their second undefeated regular-season in six years (11-0 in 1988 and 1993).
